We were jumping with joy as my husband and I were blessed with a baby boy. I used to carefully lift him up and cradle him gently in my arms and softly kiss his cheek as he was so delicate. Now I am unable to even hold him as the doctors have told me that it could cost him his life.
My Son was an active child who loved playing around in our farm. He was very fond of the animals and nature. After his 2nd birthday he started complaining of body pain and he staretd getting high fever. We took him to our doctor and he gave some medications and told it will reduce in a day or two.. After giving medicines his fever reduced but after two days again he got fever. We consulted doctor again and he gave more medicines and rest. This process continued for 15- 20 days and we consulted a child specialist and he asked to do a CBC test and it confirmed he was suffering with typhoid. Later, treatment for typhoid was given but still there was no change in his condition. Doctors did some sonography and X-ray and the reports confirmed that he has tumor on his kidney and it is a Neuroblastoma, a type of cancer. Immediately doctors suggested chemotherapy for his condition to get better and Bone Marrow transplant was suggested for curing his disease. The total cost of treatment was Rs.10 lakhs .
Seeing my baby as this has deeply shaken me and my wife. We do not have the money to save him. It was the worst night of our lives as we found out that our baby was suffering from a Kidney cancer. All I could do was run to the doctor and plead with him to do everything he could to save our precious child.
During this situation we were suggested to approach a NGO named CARF. As soon as we approached CARF we have received help to save our Son’s life. But, we require more help to cure him from the disease completely. Losing our baby due to us not being able to pay for his treatment will destroy us and rip our family apart. So I and CARF request everyone to please donate and help us bring our baby home. Help us save our son.
