"Baba! Ek Divas Mi Dancer Honar! These were the words Arnav used to say regularly when he saw someone dancing on TV shows. I woke up to the sound of soft footsteps. The sight of little toes dancing and twirling in his school uniform melted my heart. It was my 5-year-old Son Arnav whose day started with dancing and ended with the same. "I want to be a dancer when I grow up, Baba," he said in his sweet, excited voice. What a great start to the day, I wondered. Ever since childhood, Arnav would start jumping the moment music was played. Our baby was going to participate in a contest and we couldn't wait to see him perform on stage. However, our happiness soon took a backseat when we got a call from his teacher who said that our little one had collapsed during his practice. We panicked and rushed to his school. Our son had a high fever. We thought that it was because of physical exertion and took him to the local doctor who prescribed medicines. However, the medicines didn't work and his fever became severe as days passed. His condition frightened us and we took him to a bigger hospital. Doctors suggested to do Biopsy. Baba, I am scared of injections. Please tell them to keep it away from me,” my son kept crying as the nurse came to draw blood for the test. It broke my heart to see him in such a condition. I just kept praying to God to heal my son's pain, but he had other plans for us. After multiple hours, the doctor broke the news to us. Our son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of rare blood cancer. We were shocked. Suddenly, our lives came to a halt. My little boy who was dancing in joy just three days back was now suffering from this life-threatening disease. I couldn't believe how destiny hit us hard. We were asked to start our baby's chemotherapy immediately. I am a farmer who earns just enough to make ends meet. I borrowed money from my friends and pooled in my small amount of savings to start the treatment. But that was not enough, the total cost of treatment is Rs. 3 Lakhs. We requested help for my Son's treatment and have approached all doors. We approached CARF for my son's treatment and we have been supported in all possible ways to save my son's life. We request the help and kindness of all generous donors to come forward to save my son's life."
