Madhumati has always been a source of joy and brightness in her parents' lives. She was both playful, and studious. Sometimes, she would practice her spellings while dancing. She was "sunshine in disguise" for not just them, but their whole village.

When Madhumati was a little over 3 years old, a stomach ache troubled her while playing. By evening she started getting high fever. The local doctor prescribed her medicines for viral fever, but two days passed by, but her health kept worsening. Worse, her ever-present enthusiasm was down at a bare minimum. She kept on getting fever continuously.

As her parents we were completely stressed and managed to take her to a bigger hospital for detailed check-up. The doctor suggested immediate tests and gave some medications for her relief. As the test results arrived it was clear that my daughter was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, a type of blood cancer.

I am a labourer and earn hardly enough to take care of my family's daily needs. She requires an immediate life-saving treatment that costs Rs.6.5 lakhs. I have only been able to come up with 30 to 40 thousand so far. With my monthly income I have never been able to build up much in the way of savings.

As we were struggling to collect money for my daughters treatment my daughter started getting boils on her body and later it was diagnosed a chicken pox. The intensity of chicken pox had worsened and she had boils all over her body. She required dressing all over body to stay away from infections. In this difficult time of despair we approached CARF for help and together we request everyone to come forward and help us to save my daughter.
