Our Founder Late Prof. A.A. Kazi donated a sum of Rs.5000/- to create a corpus fund and to be further developed by the Trust, in order to provide succor to the needy cancer patients irrespective of caste, creed, religion or colour. Prof. A.A. Kazi thus headed the Foundation as Chairman.
In order to start the ball rolling, CARF had to go through hassles & bassles of Charity Commissioner’s registration formalities, etc. Thereafter, the Income tax departments procedure of applying for E 16992 under the section Bombay Port Cat- 1950, 12 (A) of the Income tax Act, 1961, 80G of Income tax Act, 1961 & FCRA Act- 1976 got started. Sparing no pains, a lot of hard efforts were enforced to get CARF into functioning.
We are holding UICC membership, UICC works closely with key international UN agencies, including: the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), and has consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Cancer Aid & Research Foundation is an ISO 9001: 2015 certified non profitable medical NGO We conduct an ISO Surveillance Audit every year & once in three years renovation of certificates is done in which there is active participation of our Management & Head of Departments. Inner zeal of CARFIANS towards the organization helps CARF to maintain its Quality Management system to a large extend.
Mr. Shamshi Mulla as the “Leading force behind CARF”
Mr. Shamshi Mulla as a Chairman to CARF is a personification of versatility. The Chairman, who successfully executed the highest level of services in the growing period of CARF. With his dedicacy and efficiency, he had built up the super strong and passionate team that goes over and beyond daily for serving towards human welfare. The team loves what they do, and it shows in the work. Where CARF stands today, would not have been possible without this great man as a driving force behind CARF. Under his encouragement and guidance, our amazing dedicated team works tirelessly to give the best we can. He is an inspiration to CARFIANS, which has Website contents helped them to prove their passion, drive, and devotion in giving their best towards social responsibility.
CARF conducts quarterly internal Audit, As soon as the role of internal audit is over; the responsibility of finalizing the accounts is taken care by the External Auditor. CARF submits the Audit Report to Income Tax Dept. as well as to Charity Commissioner’s office in the given time frame. Accounts & Finance Department keeps all the records of financial transaction details which maintain the transparent image of CARF.

Conducted more than 100 CARF DRIVES on the streets of Mumbai to spread Cancer Awareness in last 3 years.

Our aim is to create a ‘Cancer Free World’ in the days to come and promise to reach out to many more poor cancer patients. CARF is grateful to all its valuable donors, through whom we could achieve to this height and save the lives of many needy cancer patients
