CAN YOU HELP TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE ?

“Why is my head bald? Am I going to die?”, asks a scared Soumya when she sees her own reflection in the mirror. Her mother Rekha holds her tears back and consoles her little one saying, “It’s because of the fever you have. It will go away if you eat more vegetables and fruits.”And that was the last time, little Soumya  saw herself in the mirror. Now, she just lies in her bed, scared and sad, tearfully begging her mother to take her home. But Rekha can’t, because little Soumya needs a bone marrow transplant to fight blood cancer. It all started as fever and vomiting. Atul Kumar  and Rekha were busy making plans for Soumya’s first birthday celebrations in their home in Mumbai. But Soumya started having fever and she was given medicines to recover by their doctor. But when her fever didn’t subside, her parents took her to child specialists for better consultation. After some tests, Soumya was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a severe form of cancer that affects the white blood cells and progresses rapidly if not treated on time. Soumya could finally go back home and get back to her normal life after 6 months of gruelling chemotherapy and medications. She was kept for the observation till April 2018 and she was doing well. But few months later, Soumya’s health started worsening and her worried parents took her to the hospital. Poor parents were utterly devastated when they were told that Soumya’s cancer is back and it is even more aggressive than before. She requires 15 lakhs for her treatment.
