“Swaraj, my son, he whines in pain sometimes; I feel the urge to take the pain away from him but only if I had that power. Apart from pacifying him, it breaks me apart to realise that there is nothing much I can do. He is only 6 years old and he is suffering from Acute Myeloblastic Leukaemia. Swaraj was playing in his school when he had a fall and he hurt his leg. Blood test was done and doctor told this treatment cannot be done at our local hospital so take him to another hospital. We took Swaraj to new hospital and it was confirmed as cancer. Hearing the word cancer was a big shock for our family. Doctors told he requires chemotherapy and it requires a huge sum of Rs.6.5 Lakhs for his treatment. My husband is a painter by profession so this is a huge amount for us to bear so we approached CARF for help. With the help of CARF we are trying to do treatment for our son. I request your kind help to save my son's life so that I and CARF can help Swaraj lead a normal life and have a bright future.”
