CAN YOU HELP TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE ?

"My Son Sanket is a 6 year old boy who is suffering from Blood Cancer. Sanket was an active kid at pre school and always enjoyed going around the farm with his parents and grand parents. We are farmers and Sanket is our first child. We led a simple life in the small village in Sangli. But today, we are spending nights in the hallways of paediatric floor of the hospital for our son's life."

It all started 6 months ago when Sanket started feeling pain in his neck and shoulder. Sanket came home from school. But I had never seen my child this dull. He was suffering from severe pain in his neck and shoulder. We gave him medicines and still his pain was unbearable and he couldn’t move his neck. He was running a temperature. We rushed him to local hospital. They said it could be due to weather change and should recover in couple of days. But the fever and pain just would not subside. We took him back to hospital and various tests like CBC, X ray and Sonography was done, but all the reports were normal.Soon we took him to a bigger hospital and the doctors immediately asked to conduct the Bone marrow test and it confirmed my son has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia , a type of blood cancer. I remember sitting in the doctor's room, holding my son tight. The fear of losing a child is the scariest feeling in the world.

He is planned for chemotherapy and also a Bone marrow transplant. The cost of chemotherapy and the transplant will be almost 11 Lakhs and he really needs help to survive. I earn Rupees 3500 a month. This income is barely enough to cover my son’s everyday antibiotics. Medical expenses since last 6 months have already been a struggle for me and my family. It's not easy for a parent to see his child fight complications this grave.

During this we have approached CARF to help our son and they have readily agreed to help save my son’s life. Together me and CARF request your support to save my son’s life.
