"Sumit, my son, he whines in pain sometimes; I feel the urge to take the pain away from him but only if I had that power. Apart from pacifying him, it breaks me apart to realize that there is nothing much I can do. He is only five years old and T- cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia is already killing him. I am Santosh, Sumit's father. I work as a daily wage worker in a farm which earns me Rs. 3500 a month. My boy was an active child, and I miss his jovial laughter. He has fallen weak and is undergoing chemotherapy to help him survive. Last year in November, he fell from his cycle, but didn't complain any pain. Later, that day he felt some pain in his chest. When we consulted our doctor who suggested us to take CT scan the reports showed water formation in his chest and also found 2 or 3 lumps. Upon hearing about it we were afraid and did not know what to do to save my son's life. When the doctors revealed that he suffered from a condition that threatens his life, we broke down. There is nothing more valuable to us than our only son. We've reduced our spending on eating and try to put the monthly income into our son's treatment. We have tried all possible ways to earn and meet the required amount, but Rs. 6 Lakh is too much for us. In this moment of despair we received a helping hand from CARF. They readily agreed to help us to save my son's life. Their support at this moment was a great boon for us and we have started with my son's treatment. We cannot think of losing him; he's our only son and life. We need help. We request you to be generous in donating. Your every penny can help build my son's life."
