CAN YOU HELP TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE ?

Madhurima (13) has been fighting blood cancer since January last year. Just when she completed her treatment and began recovering, her cancer relapsed. But this time, the hospital said there was only one solution that is to do Bone Marrow transplant for her. Fortunately, I took her to big Hospital where I was told that my 13-year-old daughter will survive with a bone marrow transplant. There is hope for Madhurima, but as parents we don’t have the means to afford her treatment.

She didn’t have fever or any body pain before her cancer was diagnosed. She had a small swelling on her neck and had continous disturbed sleep. One day we got a call from school saying she couldn’t breathe at all and she was being taken to the hospital. All tests were done and it was confirmed as Primary Mediastinial B cell Lymphoma. That day we found she is suffering from cancer”

We hid nothing from Madhurima. We wanted her to be prepared for the long, difficult fight ahead of her. We told her about her cancer, but also told her that she is strong enough to fight this disease. The first thing she asked us was ‘will I survive?’

Madhurima underwent chemotherapy and radiation and after 2 months we again visited doctor for check up . Unfortunately, her reports revealed that her cancer has relapsed. Now, only a bone marrow transplant can save her.

“We’ve spent a lot in one year on her treatment. I borrowed from relatives, friends, sold the little bit of jewellery I had. I’m still more than 5 lakhs in debt now. Her transplant will cost us more 17 lakhs, and we just can’t afford it.”

During this phase of finding options to save my daughter’s life we were suggested to CARF by a friend of ours. We have receiving all the help and support from CARF. As 17 lakhs is a huge amount, together me and CARF request to all generous people to come and join us in saving our daughters life.

The fear of death has now disappeared from Madhurima’s mind. She is determined to fight cancer once and for all. She wants to go back to school and be with her friends again. Madhurima can fight this deadly disease with your help.
