Once when we woke up, we saw that the blood was running from his nose was all over the pillow. He hasn't been able to sleep after that fearing if something happens to him in his sleep and he doesn't wake up the next day. Whenever his chest pains he cries in pain and we are unable to console him. He started getting regular fever in October and some red patches on his skin. As we consulted our regular doctor he suggested medicines for viral fever and told the fever will reduce. But, after 2 weeks of medicines the fever was not reducing and we noticed an abnormal swelling above his eyes. Immediately, we took him to the hospital and his blood samples were given for testing. After detailed checking, doctors confirmed that he is suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, a type of blood cancer. The word cancer shook us and we did not know what needed to be done to save his life. Doctor's suggested he requires Rs. 9.5 Lakhs for his recovery. As his treatment started he started getting weak and did not take food also properly. This worsened the case and he had to be admitted. Now, his chemotherapy has started and I have taken money on interest for his initial treatment. I am a driver by profession and this amount is a huge burden for us. My wife and kids are crying daily for the despair moment we are facing. Thankfully our doctor's suggested us to CARF who are striving hard to save my son's life.
