There were no words left with me when asked: "What happened to me Appa?” He was a healthy kid with no medical history until he was diagnosed with cancer. On 9 February 2020, Adithya suddenly felt severe pain in his lower abdomen and his stomach felt as hard as stone. We immediately took him to a doctor and medicines were given for gastric problem. But even after taking medicines his pain wasn’t reducing so doctor suggested to visit Sonologist, where an ultrasound was done to understand the cause. The ultrasound results showed no further information so doctor suggested a detailed test and also biopsy was done. The Biopsy report confirmed that young Adithya was suffering from B- cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and he was referred to a Paediatric surgeon. Once he was diagnosed with cancer, everything changed for our family. His mother got chills and shell-shocked when the word "cancer" ringed around our son. Cancer took away adhithya’s and our family’s happiness. As parents, we are trying our best to stay strong and hopeful. This harrowing incident has impacted the family both emotionally and financially. For his treatment we require more than 8 lakhs and this amount is really huge. I am the sole breadwinner in the family & adhitya’s mother is a housewife. In this moment of despair CARF came as a ray of hope in our lives and have promised to help us. Together, I and CARF request everyone to help alleviate our family from this painful incident and get back to our regular life. Adhitya waits to be back at home and play with his friends, while we as parents are trying all our might to bring our son back to normaAdhithyalcy. Please help us to save Adhitya’s life by donating however much you can for his treatment. He really needs your help.
