CAN YOU HELP TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE ?

In the last week of December 2019, Baby Vedika fell severely ill. She lost her appetite, started having fever frequently and developed a huge ulcer on her lip. So we rushed him to the hospital where the doctors started her treatment. The treatment didn’t seem to be working and, in the second week of January, she started puking blood. The doctors couldn’t figure out what was making her sick but they tried their best and changed the course of treatment. They started her on painful blood transfusions as well. This went on for 5 months but her health kept getting worse. She vomited whatever she ate for a month straight so the doctors asked us to get a second consultation. The second doctor ran a few tests and the results revealed that my baby Vedika was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, a type of deadly cancer whose treatment was too expensive for us.
We belong to a below-poverty-line family. I am a farmer and earn just enough to meet the basic needs of my family. A few years ago, my father suffered from a serious medical condition following which I sold part of my land & used a huge part of whatever little savings we had to pay for their treatments. Then, in the 5 months leading to the cancer diagnosis when Vedika was being treated, we spent approx Rs 1 Lakh on the treatment and have exhausted all of our savings and the loans we took from our relatives. We are very close to losing all hope as we know we will never be able to afford their only daughter’s life-saving treatment. We require a huge amount of Rs.6.5 lakhs for the treatment.
We have done all that we could but unfortunately, it is now beyond our financial means as well. In this moment of despair our doctor suggested us to approach CARF. CARF has readily agreed to support us but as the amount is huge we request the help and support of all you kind hearted people. My farming has also suffered a huge loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. We are struggling to meet basic needs. Together we request everyone to come ahead and contribute whatever they can to save my daughter’s life.

Goal:

Rs.650000
