CAN YOU HELP TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE ?

He looks at me with scared eyes whenever the nurse enters the room. He is scared of the injections and the pain it causes him. I can’t explain how much it hurts me, watching him suffer so much. I feel so helpless... I wish I could stop it all but it is the only way to keep him alive. Cancer is killing him.

We were very excited when we had Manthan; he is our first child and the joy of becoming parents for the first time was beyond compare. We wanted to give the best to him and he was our world. But last month, Manthan had an extremely high fever and his body turned pale. Without any delay, we took him to the hospital. Some medicines were given but the fever did not stop and slowly his body movements also reduced drastically. This worried us and doctors immediately suggested some detailed tests. He underwent some tests, including a Bone marrow test and it was confirmed that he was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Doctors suggested immediate chemotherapy and the treatment cost was around Rs.6 to 7 lakhs. Lockdown and Covid had made us struggle a lot as I am a labour and for more than 5 to 6 months, I was jobless. We managed to survive through the lockdown but this was beyond our imagination. With the help of my family and friends, in addition to what little savings I had, I managed to afford his treatment so far but I am unable to continue now. During this troublesome time we were asked to approach CARF for help. They have readily agreed to support us in saving my son’s life. Together, we need all the help possible to get through this troublesome time. Your contribution can make a big difference in saving Manthan’s life.
