I, Bhupendra Singh Giraje, farmer by profession, hereby plead an urgent appeal to save my four year old daughter Baby Hitanksha Giraje. Ever since I became a father, I was adamant on providing my little princess on whatever she asked us, so that she can lead a better life. My daughter Hitanksha is truly an angel. She has a very good heart and always helped her mother with household chores. However, things took a sudden turn when my daughter started falling sick frequently from the month of August. She suffered from high fever, cold cough, painful legs, back ache and weakness which were unusual. Then we took her to the doctor, even after taking prescribed medicines, as of such there was no improvement in her health. Therefore the doctor suggested us for further blood investigation, in which it was detected of very low hemoglobin and platelets with increased WBC count. After several medical investigations by doctor, on 29.08.21 she was diagnosed of “Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia” (type of blood cancer), for which the only suggested cure includes, chemotherapy and other medical support costing Rs. 15, 00,000/- approx. The prescribed treatment is very expensive and unaffordable for us. Ever since the pandemic began, I lost my only source of agricultural income and now I am completely helpless, as I have already borrowed huge funds from my friends and family members. It has been months of watching my daughter’s misery and I have not been able to gather enough funds to pay for her treatment. Basically we hail from Temba, Nandurbar district. But currently due to Hitanksha’s treatment and financial troubles, we are staying in Mumbai. I feel deeply broken and helpless with each passing days of endless stream of challenges for my child struggling to survive. Every day, I live in the fear that if something happens to my child, I won't be able to forgive my inability to pay for her medical treatment. I plead for the generous help from people who read this appeal.
